We wanted to check out this restaurant. When we would drive past there were lines of people out the door. I ordered three tacos, one carne asado, one pollo asado, and one Al Pastor. The Al Pastor is my favorite with the marinated pork, cilantro and pineapple pieces. Very flavorful! My second favorite is the pollo asado with the grilled chicken, cilantro and guacamole. The beef in the carne asada was a little chewy. We were greeted with a big smile by the young lady taking orders. They have inside and patio seating. We took our food to go so we could eat at the beach. The vibe for this restaurant is fun and high energy.

I had such a great experience at The Taco Stand, the food is always consistently amazing, but what really made this visit stand out was Oscar. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and just had that kind of energy that makes you feel genuinely welcomed. It’s rare to come across service that actually elevates the whole experience, but Oscar did exactly that. As for the food, the tacos are packed with flavor, the ingredients taste super fresh, and everything comes out quick even when it’s busy. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Between the great vibes, delicious food, and standout service from Oscar, this place is easily one of my favorites in Encinitas. I’ll definitely be back!

We can't help it but drop by this place whenever we are in Northern SD. It might be tough to find street parking, but the food is all worth it. The Al Pastor Volcan taco is out of this world, so amazing we ordered uno mas. The Camaron taco is an absolutely amazing Baja style spicy shrimp taco. Sonora taco and Grilled pescado are very good too. The salsa bar has so many fresh and good choices.
