Beautiful place! We bought tickets for the Brahms's Symphonies No. 1 & 2. What a great program! It was touching and emotional. Even though the songs were sung in German, I appreciated them putting the english translation on the screen.
This venue is beautiful. The symphony is incredible. Perfect date night. Plan for parking ahead of time. Plenty of choices to choose from. Wework parking is right across the street.
My husband and I attended the symphony early in a week-long trip this year, and liked it so much we returned for a second concert before our vacation ended. Besides the quality of the music, we enjoyed the beautifully restored hall and nice little touches like free water to drink. The people who were working in the hall were especially friendly and kind. We were also happily surprised during our first visit to learn that since that concert was not sold out, we were to get better seats than what we had originally purchased. The warm customer service, musical beauty, and the visual feast of the interior of the building all added up to a wonderful experience.
Beautifully Renovated Symphony Hall is cutting-edge technology, high-resolution very bright video projection and, of course, the exquisitely talented musicians brought the crowd to their feet with a resounding standing ovation at the conclusion of the rebroadcast of Will Farrell in "Elf" in a wonderful holiday treat! We are blessed to have this venue, the high caliber, well curated performance group, and a varied and entertaining movie experience all here in the old Fox theater at 7th Avenue and B Street 😀
It was a brand new experience for me. The celling, hallways, and the stage were astoundingly glamorous. And I am grateful for the SDUSD VAPA program to give the opportunity of the High School Honour Ensembles (Me in High School Honour Band) to play music in this atmosphere.
