After living isn't San Diego since 81, I finally made it to The Belly Up in 2021 to see The Main Squeeze. Had GA tickets and had a blast. Just eleven days ago I went for the second time. I took friends to see Tommy Castro and local band Black market 3. This time I got seats up in the mezzanine or up in the loft area. Spent a little bit more and it was totally worth it. This is such a great venue with great sound all over the place, big open space, great service, a hanging shark in the middle of joint and great acts. If you haven't been there yet, go you need to go.

What a nice concert venue. I like the set up that allows ppl to sit on both sides and still have good views of the stage. The bar isn’t too far from the stage. I’ll go back for more concerts.

An amazing venue. Located in the beautiful coastal town of Solana Beach, CA. Top notch sound, friendly staff, excellent beverage options. The interior is gorgeous. Very clean, well designed and maintained. Seating is available, but sells out quickly. The general admission floor section is cool though. Stay at the nearby Holiday Inn Express, a lovely 15 minute walk away from the venue. Solana Beach is lovely, very safe. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping options. Go to the beach, have a nice meal, go to the Belly Up and have a few drinks and a rocking good time. Make a weekend out of it. I highly recommend. Happy Trails!

Absolutely love this spot. Great music venue just the right size. Big enough to feel like a crowd but not so big that it loses intimacy. Bar food is pretty good. Food in the actual Tavern is a little bit on the pricey side, but the quality is worth it
